ABOUT ME

For those of you who don’t know me, my name is, Nikki Menne. My friends call me, Nik, and when it comes to Reindeer Cleared I go by, St.Nik :)

What you see is what you get with me. I am a jokester at heart who LOVES a good laugh. My life consists of eating dinner at 4pm and chauffeuring children to all things sports related. I am currently in the teenage years of this motherhood journey.. I don't think much more needs to be said about that.  jk lol  

I believe moms are incredible because lets face it..THIS JOB IS NOT ALWAYS EASY!! But there is an unspoken appreciation and bond we all have for one another because we just "get it." 

If someone would have told me halfway through my life I was going to be the author/illustrator of FIVE children's books I would have called them crazy. It's funny how life works out even when you don't see a way. Honestly, I never thought my journey would lead me here but I am so very grateful it did. After receiving a shocking diagnosis of MS and enduring some pretty rough years, my almost twenty year career as a hairstylist came to an abrupt halt. I really wasn't sure where to turn. But an unforeseen act of kindness quickly set things back into motion. This unexpected path immediately became a brand new way for me to share my creativity and passion with the world. And I absolutely love every minute of it! My artistic ability, gift to gab, and immense love for connecting with people just shifted from behind a salon chair, to school author visits and book signings. And I am forever grateful for every connection and interaction I have made and continue to make along the way. 

 

My first book baby was REINDEER CLEARED.  

Reindeer Cleared originally began as a fun way for me to bring a little Christmas magic to our home during a hard year, but quickly became so much more. It grew into a full heartfelt vision of mine after an act of kindness blessed my family when I needed it most. It was a way for me to pay that kindness forward. By performing a genuine act of kindness and becoming Reindeer Cleared you will allow Reindeer Cleared Christmas Creations to give back to children in need of toys for the holiday. 

Next up and so very dear to my heart is FREEDOM CLEARED. 

Freedom Cleared is a heartwarming thank you to the brave men and women who have fought for our country. My hope is that children will take the time to share a Freedom Cleared bracelet with a service member or veteran and pause to learn a little bit about their stories and the sacrifices they've made. I know how proud my grandfather was of his service to our country in WWII and although I loved hearing his stories, I wasn’t old enough to appreciate it all the way I would have today. We are truly the land of the free because of the brave men and women who have served and continue to serve our country. Freedom Cleared is just a small way to say thank you and give back. A percentage of each bracelet will be donated to support our military families and veterans. 

And the THIRD book baby on the list is ALIGNED & CLEARED! 

ALIGNED & CLEARED encourages social emotional learning and provides children with strategies and exercises to help realign their emotions when they begin to stray. Aligned & Cleared is a reminder that learning to control our thoughts and emotions can make all the difference. Children can also find additional calming support with an Aligned & Cleared bracelet! A percentage of the proceeds will be donated to help support Mental Health Awareness.

Cleared w Style and Cleared w Incredible Style are based off my 20 years as a hairstylist. Told from the scissor’s point of view, both books are a great tool for children who are afraid of getting their hair cut. CWS uses humor to help calm their nerves and walk children through the steps of a haircut while CWIS offers full compassion and understanding for children who may truly struggle and need a little extra time and care. Both books work as an aid to help build a bond between children and the stylist.
